Hi guys,im having problems with a sway ive developed! on the backswing i sway back and before i release club i feel myself lean into shot then which obviously causes a slice! Also on the takeaway i feel myself taking the club on a out to in swing path? Anyone got any suggestions on setup or practice drills i could use??

Hogan suggested squaring the back foot rather than having it point outwards.

My Tools of Ignorance:

Driver: Ping I20 9.5*
Woods/Hybrids: Cobra AMP 3W and 3 HY

Irons: Cobra AMP 4-GW

Wedges: Callaway Forged Copper 56* and 60*

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Ball: Bridgestone B330-RX and Srixon Z-Star

Bag: Nike Performance Carry

after some research some people have suggested i turn my left foot out a bit more and other have said to have my right foot pointing in slightly!! now im confused and cracking up!!

Just square your back foot (right foot for a righty golfer) - this is what Ben Hogan did. Keep your front foot in normal position, pointing slightly outwards.

1) practice swinging with your feet together, if you sway you will lose your balance and fall over
2) keep your rear foot perpendicular to the target
3) knees slightly bent
4) weight on the inside of your back foot
5) make sure that you are turning lateral instead of upward, your knees should remain flex throughout the golf swing
6) practice by putting 2 golf balls on the outside of your back foot for stability

take video or have a friend watch you from behind to make sure you are not swaying.
