Who has compact on plane swings on youtube that I can watch?

So I am working on a swing that, at my level, is similar to Tiger's new iron swing. Back on plane, stop short of horizontal, around 30 to 45 degrees from horizontal. Simple transition, down on plane. Right elbow toward the ball then the target.

I was thinking about this while reading the best looking swing. I am not interested in Couples, or Hogan, or Garcia. I am interested in compact and on plane and simple, and within my grasp, down at my level.

Like these:

Thanks,

Tim.

907D2 driver and 906D4 3 wood
Idea Pro Gold 3 4 5 hybrids
Apex Plus 6 7 8 9 E irons
900 52 gap 56 sand 60 lob wedges
Rossa Suzuka Putter

And like this of Tiger from behind:

Note that he is on plane going back, stops at 30 degrees above horizontal, then is on plane going down toward the ball, and keeping his right elbow close to his body as he rotates his hips toward the target while keeping his chest pointing toward the ball.

Who else swings like this? What is this swing called? This is what my teacher has me working on, at my level of course, and I would like to see more swings like this.

Thanks,

Tim.

Here's my driver swing back in March. I was going through a funk where I got short, not quite getting to parallel with the back swing and it threw my timing out of sync. I've since corrected it, but this swing was a good one.

What does everybody think?

(Can't seem to get the youtube link to work, just go to you tube and search on "dangerousduval" My swing video is called JFD Driver.

In my Srixon staff bag:

Hey, who's that handsome fellow pounding it 310 down the middle with a tight little 5 yard draw in that video?

I'm 6'2", but the video is slightly distorted. Shot it with one of those cheap $80 camcorders.

That's a Titleist 907D1 with Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue. I was launching the ball too high with too much spin and loosing distance. I've since switched to a Titleist 909D2 I got from the tour rep and put a Grafalloy Epic in it. The spin came down into the 2400rpm range and the launch came down a degree or so and I instantly gained 20 yards. Since starting on my stretching routine after doing a TPI assessment, I've regained my ability to get all the way to parallel with all clubs and gained back that 10 yards I lost over the last few years. I should take an "after" video and post it to see the difference...

Check out Trevor Immelman, best "crisp" and "tidy" swing on tour, imho. Not people lunging at the ball.

Should have no problem finding his swing on youtube.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
