Ok, here is my situation. I recently purchased a used set of LH callaway x-20's. They have been customized to somebody with the head being bent 2 degrees upright. They have also been re-shafted. The new shafts are Nippon 1050 GH steel shafts. When I hit the clubs my balls goes straight but to the right. I am interested in getting the clubs bent back, but I do not want to damage them. They are cast irons clubs, so I know that they are not supposed to be.
Has anyone ever had the same problem, or can help me out?

Thanks

My Callaway irons are also cast and I sent them back to Callaway to get the lie adjusted. Callaway charged me $30 and guaranteed the work while no other shop would even touch them.

I will give Callaway a call tomorrow, but I am not sure if they could bend them back to normal or maybe even only 1 degreeback. Anything will help. Does anyone feel that it will weaken the metal to the point it would not hit well?

Properly bent, the metal will not suffer. If Callaway does it, it will be done right. (I'm not saying other shops aren't qualified, it's just Callaway is GOOD) For $30, you're stealing it!

Rather than guessing, why don't you get fitted to the proper lie angle, then get them bent?

Actually, the clubs are already bent. I bought them used that way. I would like to have them bent back to the original degrees. I am a high handicaper (about 20) which is why I bought these clubs used. (and bc I didn't know any better). I'm calling callaway now

You'd still be far better off if you got properly fitted. For example, what if you only need them bent back 1 degree, and not the full 2 back to stock? Getting fitted will let you know exactly what, if anything, would need to be done to them.

Agreed. Getting fitted for irons is quick, easy, and well worth it. Don't guess. Do it right.
