Why do they even bother making a Japanese model if it's only going to add 5 yards. It's not like marketing ploy because these drivers are not readily available to US residents.

agreed, in my opinion playing non-conforming clubs (i.e. these japanese drivers, or people stocking up on square-grooved wedges for when the regs change, even though theyre legal for amateurs until 2024) is the same as breaking any other rule to decrease score. cheating is cheating :(
