Revised US Open tv schedule?

Don't have time to skim the forums to look for an answer... but what is the newest revised US Open tv schedules? I am going to be out all day tomorrow with some commitments and I want to set my DV-R, but have absolutely no idea what time to set it for and what stations due to the messed up schedule.

Any info would be great, thanks!

I think it's going to be on the same time as it was scheduled for - 10 A.M. Saturday NBC.

Yeah, that is what is showing up on my DV-R, but surely they are going to air more to make up for the 2nd round. I have ESPN and NBC both starting to record at 7am (Pacific) until the regularly scheduled time.

Are they going to air the challenge? I can't find anything about it, and it doesn't appear to have aired yet.

I'd like to set a DVR for that, if possible.


Also, I've avoided finding out what happened, because I want to see it instead of just reading about it. Please don't post the result of it when responding to this. Thanks.

Has anyone seen or heard when the US Open Challenge with Roethlisberger, MJ, and co. is supposed to air? It was scheduled for noon Eastern/11 AM Central, but instead, NBC was showing live coverage. I was pretty interested in watching these guys play this, and I really hope it was rescheduled to air at a different time. Thanks in advance to anyone that has any info on it.

Where did you hear this? Or can we get a confirmation? I'm not doubting you, and I'm grateful for the information; I just want to be able to confirm it so I can set a DVR to record it.

They're airing it July 4, I think, before or after some tennis tournament (Wimbledon perhaps)? They had a brief note about that earlier today when coverage started. I don't know what time.

yah they announced at the beginning of golf coverage this morning that instead of airing the challenge they were going to move into live coverage, and that the challenge would be aired july 4th. Not positive where you could confirm it.

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.

      Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
