My short game improved substantially after getting Dave Pelz' Short Game Bible and a set of GOOD wedges, including a 60°, which I use more than any club in my bag except my putter. I can play all sorts of trajectories from all sorts of lies with the 60 that I can't with even the 56. My 56 has 12° of bounce my 60 has half of that.

Check how sharp the grooves are. My first 60 was a cheaper version. I couldn't get good spin with it.

In my TM r7 Stand bag:
Driver- r11 10.5° Reg shaft

Fairway wood - r11 3 wood
Hybrids- r11 3, 4 & 5
Irons- M1 6-AW, xft 50, xft 54.12 , xft 60.08°
Still have / love my r7 CGB Max 6-PW, xft 50, xft 54.12, xft 60.08° which I keep in Myrtle Beach, Tommy Armour 855 Putter

I love hitting my 60 degree. Its just so easy to stop. Its great for chipping and pitching. You take 50% to 75% swings and it goes like 30 to 40 yards. Everyone should get one. Ideally everyone should have a pitching wedge, a gap wedge, a sand wedge and a lob wedge.

The bounce is supposed to depend on the lies you usually play and your swing type. The more the bounce the steeper the swing type and the thicker the lie. As to types of wedges I always play Clevelands. They have the best feel for me. I would try to feel both a Vokey and a Cleveland CG. Ditch the Callaway. But thats me....

Why do you say ditch the Callaway? Roger Cleveland designs them....

I guess I feel that he would put more effort into the clubs that bear his name. And everyone that doesnt play Cleveland plays Vokeys....
