I'm of the opinion that Tiger knows what's best for his game.

Tiger just lost his dad so i think been the best golfer in the world and the best golfer ever, he can do what he wants, i have met him once at the british open and he is such a nice guy and very down to earth and not like any the other big headed golfers E.G Paul Casey, Davis Love,

oh no doubt he could never play again and he would be fine but as far as that competitive edge he has what would serve him best. And do you think this new FedEx cup will make him play more. I like watching him play but i wouldn't quit watching golf if he didn't play. But in all honesty he is like the Michel Jordan of golf. A ton of people quit watching basketball when Jordan quit, what will his lack of competitiveness do to the performance of the PGA on T.V. He has inspired so many new players that I think the game would suffer if he walked away, wich we all know he won't. As far as his performance in the open he wasn't playing all that bad, I thought.

And do you think this new FedEx cup will make him play more.

It's obviously not about the money to Tiger. I think he would be perfectly happy to play in the four majors and maybe The Players Championship and Match Play Championship each year.

It's all about the majors to Tiger, and that's what he will continue to mold his game around. This new system won't make him play more tournaments. Some of the other big guns like Goosen, Els, Garcia, Scott, etc. may play more tourneys with the new system, but not Tiger. He really doesn't have to. As long as he keeps winning majors, he is good to go.

Yeah I was really rooting for ol Monty or Paddy (since he plays for Wilson) and I really wanted to see Tiger win to shut the media up

I thinks it's going to take a while to focus on his game without his Dad's support. I mean think about it, his Dad was so integrated into every facet of his golfing career that for Tiger it would seem impossible to seperate the two. I remember watching one of those recent Tiger specials on the GC...when he was talking about how important his Dad still is at this point even though he can't make it to all the tourneys. He would be struggling that day and later call his Dad for input (since he was watching him play on TV), and his Dad would tell him what he saw Tiger doing differently than before. Tiger would take the advice, put it to use the next day and turn things around. His Dad knew his son's tendecies and swing, and Tiger used this as support. It wouldn't surprise me if it takes him a while to get back to the level before his dad died.

Tiger could be playing another 30 years if his health stays where it is right now, Michael Jordan's time on the court was considerably less than Tiger's will likely be. Sure, he has inspired a lot of people, but I think him quitting sometime in the distant future is likely to inspire other players to try and beat his records, so no I don't think it will have a negative effect on the game at all.

Follow along my trials and tribulations as a hoser learning the game of golf.

    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
    • This is the part I don’t get. He’s not even kind of sandbagging, he’s blatantly doing it and submitting scores that are verified to be incorrect. How he’s not banned from competition is beyond me.
    • He's right in what he's saying.I also have done this experiment with a golf shaft swinging with one arm at a time.one arm at a time is for me very fast but both hands together are very slow ..I got my 17 year old son to do this experiment and he swung very fast with either hand and he swung very fast with both hands together..My conclusion up to now is ; I'm not using my wrists properly but I not a 100 percent sure just yet..I will keep trying to fathom this out .I'm a 12 handicap and my son is 3.9 at Westlancs..
