You could get some Callaway X-22's on eBay from a reputable seller in the $400-$500 range

Get a used set from someone. I just got an awesome set of Titleist irons for $200. Do some searching, and I guarentee you that you can find something.

I'd look at the TaylorMade R7 Irons. I've heard really good things about them, and a close friend of mine plays wit them and loves them.

I would definitely be interested in checking out used clubs. This seems like a pretty good deal. Any other ones you'd recommend looking into?

I would look into the taylormade tour burner irons. With markdowns at retail stores and good deals on ebay, its a club that you can grow with for a long time. I have two buddies that use them, one a 23hp and one a 9. The last thing you would want to do is out grow your supergame inprovement irons within a couple of years. The tour buners would be a good start IMO.
