I just tried the Bridgestone B330 and was very impressed, long off the tee and great spin around the green and seems more durable than the PROV-1.

Anybody else play the B330 series golf ball? what result have you had?

I see that they are selling for about $34-$35 a dozen total cost. I am considering switching from the PROV-1s

I loved the Tour B-330, then tried the Rx, which feels much better. Softer than the Pro V1, IMO. Good playablility in close.

Where are you getting them for 35$ a dozen? I haven't seen them for less than 42$ per dozen around here.

Just got a sleeve of the e5+ that I'm going to try. I did their online ball fitting and it told me I needed the e5+ so hopefully they are good! Usually I just play whatever rocks I find in the woods, but I'm getting tired of the balls rolling off the green & not holding. I have tried Pro V1 and they used to stop fine for me but lately they have been rolling off too.

How do they compare with the TP black/red?

Pretty comparable. I played B330's and then B330-S's last year but have recently switched to TP red's while they have the 2 for $55 deal going on. The Bridgestones are a bit better overall IMHO. Bit longer and pretty comparable in spin.

I just got back from the course, and played the pro v1x, callaway tour ix, nike one black, and b330.

I think that my current favorite is the B330. Good spin around the greens, and doesn't seem to spin as much off the driver. The Callaway and the Pro V1x seemed to me to spin the most in non-straight driver and iron shots.

I did make two long putts with the premium balls though. (30 and 40 footers) I couldn't, however, make any 5-7 footers. Ain't golf great?

Still have lots more testing to do, though. I didn't see a ton of difference between the premiums and my current ball, the TM TP LDP.

Regards,

Gary

The TM TP is definitely considered a premium ball, despite the currently low sale prices. This is the top of the line ball for TaylorMade, and I am strongly considering taking a look at it even though I still have a dozen B330s and Pro V1s.

Hi Ruckus,

I did not type correctly, I mean the TM Burner TP LDP, is my current ball. Regards, Gary

I'm half way through a box of B330-RX's. I like the feel off the tee, and have no complaints, will probably buy again.

But you don't like them enough to play them? Your signature has you playing the Pro V... Just busting your balls... Man I'm on a roll this morning...

I switched to the B330's last year. I agree with above posts regarding feel and durability. My local shop put the original 330's on sale when the new ones came out. I got a few dozen for $32. Inventory ran out quickly.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to...

I love the B330-S. First time that I haven't played a Titleist in as long as I can remember. It's a great ball.

    • Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
    • Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down,  I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green.  Then I made the hundred foot putt.  Tough to  forget that one.
    • No. But if I can still play next year, I'll almost certainly be even worse. That's the reality of not being young.🙁
