That's pretty cool. I never bother to take practice swings or follow any set routine. Just tee it up, check the wind, get my direction, address, and swing - usually in that order, but it may vary. Teeing up the ball isn't always first, but swinging normally is last I hope I don't offend anyone, but I find it kinda funny when someone does this elaborate routine and looks so professional, only to shank the ball off into the woods.

actually the preshot routine adds an extra giggle or two to the shank into the woods...only slightly more funny is someone taking a monster swing and like topping it and it not going anywhere..it always gets a little chuckle out of me...which takes me to that commercial, where that guy is talking about being tied with tiger woods and the other guy is like tiger woods shot a 102? and then the other dude tops his drive, well that driver was loud when it hit the ball and it didnt move more than 3 yards. how is that possible???? has anyone ever done that??? cuz i watched that and i was like nooo way. so if anyone actually knows if the sound goes with the swing let me know. and i have a loosely followed preshot routine, but usually my drives go 275 yards down the fairway with a slight draw

I can't say for sure because there are exceptions but usually sound for commercials is sweetened, a term used when a different or enhanced sound is used. Often the actors voice their lines a second time in a sound booth to replace the live voices recorded on site.
