FINALLY!!
This has been the WORST wait in my life!!

If you're wondering, my brother couldn't send them with his friend (as I said in the above post) and I had to wait till he comes back. He's back now!! He arrived yesterday, and with him came my NEW CLUBS!!!

Now you have to know, these babies look MUCH BETTER in person than in photos. In photos they appear pretty big sized and chunky, in reality they aren't that chunky. Very sleek looking, the heads aren't oversized as usual SGI, yet they ARE SGI!!

I've also made one of these retarded What's in my bag vidoes. I just couldn't help it, I had to do something with them last night. Enjoy.

I am heading off to the range now and maybe a quick 9 (or 18) holes. I am going to take more detailed pics in the sun light.

Wish me luck!!

Haven't played them yet. I won't receive them before October.

I got the fli hi 3 and 4 and very happy with them.

Went to the course today.
Couldn't hit balls on the range as it was full, so I played 9 holes, ended up playing 7 only.
Anyway, my reactions:

Driver: ****ing sick!!
Very straight, and the sound...OMG THE SOUND!!

MP Fli Hi: I didn't get to hit it wih a full swing, but I used it for punch and run two times from tight lies and it was very good. Did the job exactly.

The irons: Just amazing. The hybrid is so damn beautiful. The irons are soft and they feel amazing. Very easy to hit as well and very confident at address. Also much longer than my previous X14. I was hitting the same numbers that I used to hit on the X14 but with the 950's I was going much farther.

Wedge: Didn't hit it much but still good. I think this is the only weakness in my current setup. I am dying for one or two Mizuno MP T-10 wedges.

Putter: just beautiful. I haven't made puts like these in ages.

*drool* Sick setup

That mizuno box reminds me of the box I got 3 weeks ago. The feeling of new clubs, you can't replicate that.

I haven't hit them enough to give you a full review, but from what I've played today, I can tell you go ahead and buy them, you can't go wrong. They look great, they're very forgiving, they're forged, they're long and the hybrids are just sick. And one more reason to top the above: they're Mizuno. At the prices these irons are for now, you just cannot go wrong.

I am loving how these clubs are aging. Wear is just a normal part of the golf experience and I love how every nick and scratch on these clubs stand for a shot I have made myself, even the scratches on the heel or the toe, they remind me of my mishits. (unlike used clubs).

    • Never practiced golf when I was young and the only lesson ever taken was a driver lesson. I feel like I'm improving every year. However, the numbers don't support my feeling about improving. I usually drop to 12-13 during the summer while playing the familiar courses around home and then go on golf trips in the fall to new courses and increase to end the year between 15-17. Been a similar story for a number of years now but hey, it's the best thing there is in life so not too bothered but reaching 9.9 is the objective every year. Maybe a few lessons and practice could help me achieve it since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, just playing and never practice.
    • I am semi-loyal. Usually buy four dozen of one ball and only play that until out and then determine whether to continue or try another one. Since starting my semi-loyal path to success, I've been playing the below, not in order: ProV1 ProV1x ProV1x left dash AVX Bridgestone BXS Srixon Z-star XV I am not sure if it has helped anything, but it gives a bit of confidence knowing that it at least is not the ball (while using the same one) that gives different results so one thing less to mind about I guess. On the level that I am, not sure whether it makes much difference but will continue since I have to play something so might as well go with the same ball for a number of rounds. Edit: favorite is probably the BXS followed by ProV1/Srixon Z-star XV. Haven't got any numbers to back it up but just by feel.
    • Will not do it by myself, going to the pro shop I usually use after Cristmas for input and actually doing the changes, if any, but wanted to get some thoughts on whether this was worthwhile out of curiosity.
    • In terms of ball striking, not really. Ball striking being how good you are at hitting the center of the clubface with the swing path you want and the loft you want to present at impact.  In terms of getting better launch conditions for the current swing you have, it is debatable.  It depends on how you swing and what your current launch conditions are at. These are fine tuning mechanisms not significant changes. They might not even be the correct fine tuning you need. I would go spend the $100 to $150 dollars in getting a club fitting over potentially wasting money on changes that ChatGPT gave you.  New grips are important. Yes, it can affect swing weight, but it is personal preference. Swing weight is just one component.  Overall weight effects the feel. The type of golf shaft effects the feel of the club in the swing. Swing weight effects the feel. You can add so much extra weight to get the swing weight correct and it will feel completely different because the total weight went up. Imagine swinging a 5lb stick versus a 15lb stick. They could be balanced the same (swing weight), but one will take substantially more effort to move.  I would almost say swing weight is an old school way of fitting clubs. Now, with launch monitors, you could just fit the golfer. You could have two golfers with the same swing speed that want completely different swing weight. It is just personal preference. You can only tell that by swinging a golf club.
    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
