putting with thumbs

I have been in a bad place putting, No confidence from over 3ft. I just couldn't get any feel. During a practice round I tried putting holding the club in a reverse grip and my thumbs are my only "grip" on the handle, hand/fingers flat and stretched out. I started dropping puts like crazy. I immediately went out and played a round, shot an 85 from our back tees, 6723 w/138 slope, This was my best round ever, my previous best was 89 from 6200/129, (i shot 102 yesterday from the back). My feel for the length of the putts is spot on, I made several saves from 12 feet or more.
I am curious if anyone has ever known anyone with this style grip.

Well a lot of people have defferent style putting grips and i guess its just the one that suits you the most. But me myself have never seen anyone using this technique nor know if any pros use this style.

Nope, never seen it before. When putting, it's my right thumb and right index finger that control the distance.
