I tried a Vokey 58* wedge before, and honestly I couldn't see what's the fuss about them. But I used it for full swing on a 30 yards shot so I don't know, maybe it's magic appears in chippng.

Well the vokeys are known for their terrific stop on a dime and spin control and to really get the full effect i would say swing it from 80 to 90 yards with a full swing, hit down on the ball and then watch the magic happen.

They are known for being great wedges. The ball will behave accordingly to how you swing the club, what type of ball you are using and how the greens are. You don't get any type of shots or extra spin without doing the effort. You can stop the ball on a dime with any wedge with the proper ball, swing and green.

True. I've noticed that I can make the ball stop once it hits the green using my crappy FOXBAT wedge. But only when I put a decent swing and when I'm using a ProV1. And the grooves on that wedge are already going to hell.

I usually get about 4-6 feet of roll out with my current lob wedge and that is using balls that are harder and when I use the more expensive balls it stops occasionally but I still will get 2-3 feet of roll out. I got a big gift card for golf headquarters for my birthday and I just got new irons and a driver this year, my putter was new last year and is in great shape. Basically the only thing in my bag that I needed to replace was my lob wedge which I bought used for 10 bucks 2 years ago. So I am hoping to get that nice stop on a dime type action.

I have a 58* Vokey that I love. It's great inside of 30 yards or so and I absolutely love it out of the sand. The extra loft really lets me get it up out of a deep bunker without flying the green and I've hit my best sand shots ever with it. Overall a club I'm really happy to have in my bag.

Yeah I would have to say this club is worth the money, I had numerous chips where I hit them a little harder than I wanted to and they would bounce once and stop, if I was using my previous lob wedge they would have rolled off the green. I had a crappy mid range game this morning but within 50 yards I was dropping and stopping with my new wedge. I am seriously thinking about replacing my gap wedge with another vokey wedge. I am so glad I picked this over the cleveland cg12.

+1 for vokey

Yeah that is the truth, hell I started the round with a hard ball the srixon ad-333 and it was taking chunks out of that ball, the last three holes I wanted to see what the vokey would do with a nice ball so I played a pro v1 and it chunked it up pretty good.

Glad to hear that you liked it! I've been so happy with my 56° that I'm also wanting to replace my gap wedge with a Vokey Spin Milled, and also add another 60° Vokey SM.

I wouldnt count out the Cleveland though. I've seen a lot of people that are really happy with them. My friend has one, and has had really good success with it. I wont buy one (for stupid reasons that I wont get into ), but I know they're quality. I've also read the same success with the Nike VRs and SVs. Either way, congrats on the new purchase!!!!

I am not counting out the cleveland wedges, I am just glad I went with a vokey. I am sure if I was a better ball striker I could get the one hop and stop with a different wedge but the spin milled wedge allows me to have worse contact and still get the stopping power on it.

Full shot at 30 yards out must have been quite a flop shot that stopped dead in its tracks with a vokey + prov1.

My wedges are doing well for me right now, but I'm probably jumping on the Vokey bandwagon shortly, or mizunos, but I'm becoming quite the Mizzy wh0re, so Ill probably go vokey.
