If so how forgiving are we talking? Turns out my driver is a fake (no wonder i can't hit it very well). Thinking about investing in the Cleveland and getting a free fairway while i'm at it.

I hit it friday at golf galaxy and could only put it up about 285. The swung the r9 and put it 327. Same swing speed and everything. Monster just had to high of a loft for me. If your looking for control then thats a good choice, but for power. not so much for me.

I believe the chap was asking about forgiveness, not how far you think you can

only hit it? A 42yd difference with the 2 drivers is odd - maybe one of them had a ladies shaft in it?

Yea i guess i should have asked the question a little better. What driver to you guys believe is the most forgiving? The only problem is i already bought the monster (impulse, with some research) so i was curious if i need to send it back when it gets here or if it will be a good option for me.

I've heard good things and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Now as for the 42 yard difference between 2 drivers that is really odd and something must have been different whether it was the shaft or contact. I could see 10 to 15 but not 42 with todays drivers that just couldn't be right.

I just scored a HiBore XLS Monster Draw 10.5* from 3balls on the Bay in "fine condition" for $120. Question, is this a new club for 2009? Also, I'm ignorant when it comes to what the "Draw" means and how it will affect my hitting?

The Monster is an excellent choice. Very Forgiving, High MOI, and depending on the model, very workable as well. Solid Choice...and yes the club is a 2009 model.

Draw is suppose to help slices.

Yes, the XLS Monster is very forgiving.

I wanted to like it, as I hit it well, but I just couldn't get used to the sound. I ended up with a Speedline and free three wood.

The nike SQ2 line is about as forgiving as you can get. I hit the cleavland a time or 2 and couldnt get used to it.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
