Hi all. New golfer here. Very new. A few lessons and one round of 9 holes on a par 3 course. I just bought some clubs from the place I took lessons, and the golf pro (certified PGA Professional) sold them to me. I know nothing about clubs at this point, and just wanted a started set. These seem to work, but here's my question. Why can't I find them online? I'm a male, and the only thing I can find in these clubs are women's sets. They are Purespin PS-1

I haven't measured the shafts, but I plan to do that today when I get home from work. They look like the clubs in the link below, but that link is a set of women’s. Has anyone heard of these before and are they made in men's? Or did I accidentally get sold a women's set?

Hey, if they fit you and you like them it doesn't matter.

I had a women's Patty Berg 7 iron that I used to use because it swung like a 9, so I hit it better.

If they work keep hitting them sometimes depending on your swing speed and other variables woman or senior flex shaft will work. Remember you're just starting out so theres plenty of time to buy more golf clubs.

True, but I hope these could last me 3-5 years of casual play. I'm hoping I'll find out when I measure the shafts tonight. Just wondering if anyone here knew the brand...Their website is terrible.

Measure it and if it doesn't seem right to you ask the pro about it.

Thanks to those who responded.

It turns out they were a women's set, even though the irons had steel shafts. Luckily the shop had the same set in men's, so just an accidental oversight in handing me the wrong set. A quick swap and I was good to go.

Oh, and I got a 45 on a 9 hole par 3 with the new men's set last night. Got par on 3 holes. I'm happy with that as a complete newbie.

Thanks again.

Good job on getting it worked out and your 45 score. As a beginner myself I'd be pretty happy with that. I have to tell you, I read the title of this thread and literally laughed out loud. Reminds me of that episode of The Office where Michael accidentally bought a womens suit.

In the blue Colts bag:

Driver - FT-5 10°
Hybrids - 4DX 15.5°, 20°
Irons/Wedges - CI-7 4-GW, SW | "Free" Warrior 60° LWPutter - TiffanyBalls - various

This reminds me of that episode of THE OFFICE when Michael Scott is wearing that women's suit. LOL...

I'm glad you got the issue sorted out, and congratulations on the productive round!

3-5 years?

Dude you're dreaming. Just get into this damned game and you will be spending most of your internet time browsing online golf stores, and certainly buying a new thing every now and then. This is coming from someone who changed 3 sets of irons in less than 2 years.
My achievements:
Eagles: 0
Birdies: 18
Best Round: 89
