Which hybrid to buy?

So offset is not the way to go? does offset also mean a closed face? I hate that.. i bought an offset driver and the face was way closed...

Ive heard the adams are really easy to hit, but now I am hearing otherwise. should i go offset or stay away? Thanks! Jim

I got a new Nickent 3DX DC hybrid at the local shop here for $40. They also had a Ben Hogan CFT-ti hybrid for $40 also. I liked the sound and feel of the 3DX better but I hit the CFT-ti pretty well also.

Well, it comes down to what you are comfortable and

confident with. The Bobby Jones clubs are a bit more expensive than the norm so I too wondered if the premium was worth it. Luckily I got mine for about $90, a good deal, and now that I've got some experience with it, I believe for me the list price premium is worth it. Again, it may not be for the next golfer interested. Now, I'm going through the same dilemma with the BJ-Pelz wedges; are they worth the premium.

+1 for the taylormade. As soon as i have enough money, i plan on getting a full set of taylormade clubs, i just love the feel and quality they put into their products. My vote goes for the 2007 Burner Rescue hybrids. SHould be able to find them for around 90 bux, great value.

is your budget? Pick up a used one. I just picked up a new Wilson Staff Fybrid (19.5*) for < $CDN 100. I still prefer the feel of a pured 2-iron, but holy moly does that thing ever put the ball out there!! Edit: added price.

I picked up a used Cobra Baffler DWS 3i/20* for $60 at my local store and love it. They even let me take it to the range befroe I bought it since I couldnt tell much about it hitting off a mat and into a net.

I tried the bazooka and really struggled with it. It just didn't feel right to me.

A friend of mine let me try his Bobby Jones hybrid, and WOW. I love this club. I am using it on atleast 4-6 tee boxes a round as well as in the fairway and rough. The feel is great and the sound is wonderful. I makes a loud "crack" when I hit it just right.

I liked it so much that I bought my own and am going to buy a Bobby Jones driver.

      That’s totally fair. I have my chipping issues which make my putter more playable in that situation. Really just confirming that while not optimal there comes a point where if you need to use a putter (for whatever reason) then the optimal mechanics breaks down. I know I’m a sample of one. 😂

      Well, that's not really a putt at that point. You could easily choose to putt that up the slope with a hybrid or something.

      Day 15 (August 26).  I missed practice yesterday, but otherwise had a 14-day streak going into it.  Somehow, some of my posts for this appear in my profile but I can't seem to see them (I hope I didn't break any rules that would cause them to be removed).  I am hoping I'll be able to keep doing some practice while I'm out to regain the red text.  Context:  am on vacation, this week with friends.  What was today's actual practice? Today, a friend and I decided to go to TopGolf;  it was kind of like being at the range with someone else's clubs.  And that's ultimately how I was able to use it for practice:  I don't practice choosing a target, lining up to it, and then hitting often enough;  that's what this place seems to be about.  In any case, we were there for 90 minutes, I was hitting for maybe 35-40 minutes of that time, and I did pick a target each time.

      Day 2 - (26 Aug 25) - Church men’s golf nine hole Captains choice.  Had grandson as part of our group - was a blast watching him drill the putts.  Love these no pressure sessions - great for going outside the norm on club selection.
