Im currently in the search for the cheapest group rate for golf lessons and I think i found it. A customer at my GF's job told me that a out of county golf course is offering group lessons for $105 that includes 2 hour lessons in a group in 4 sessions. Now my question is, does that sound like a reasonable rate for group lessons or would you guys recommend private lessons for an intermediate player like me?

Sounds very good to me assuming there is a limit to the number of students per group. Personally, I like the value of group lessons.

I believe there is. I think its 12 a class, but there are alot of teachers from what I hear. When I was going through the site, Im just thinking of holding off on buying new clubs by investing in the lessons.

The pro at my course charges 140 for four 45min lessons, but his deal with pairs is great.

My buddy and I do the pairing deal, so we spend 70 bucks ea.

NOTE: This deal might only be so cheap because we've been full time members for like 4 years in family deals and we live at the community.

This probably won't help as I'm in UK but golf lessons here at my local course are £105 (around $175) for 7 one on one lessons. The lessons are 30-40 minutes (the pro always gives you longer if there is no lesson afterwards) That works out £15 (around $25) a lesson. These can be taken as you wish (every week, once a fortnight, once a month) & they all take place on the practice ground with no-one else around. I tried a lesson somewhere else that was on a driving range, there was too many distractions & I prefer to be hitting off grass.

I know a guy (PGA Master Professional), who gives private 3x1hr lessons per week for an entire year for $500. That's five-hundred in case you think I dropped a zero by accident. Pick up your jaw off the floor. No I won't tell you who it is

That's $3.20/hour, less than minimum wage. My leg just got longer.
