Sometimes I hit the ball really high when I tee off, it will not slice but will go only 150 yards and basically not roll. Can anyone give me some tips on constant hitting the ball not too low because I seem hit the ball too close to the ground when teeing off

Could be one or more of a list of factors - improper grip, standing too close, incorrect swing, etc.

Also try teeing the ball a tad lower. Could be going straight under the ball.

yep, absolutely, though I had hoped the OP had already tried fixing that one; but maybe not.

I like to keep the t low but sometimes too low means a bad top off for me and that is just unacceptable to me while playing around.Any ideas on how to build a constant swing the same length everytime

alomar, if and when you find out, please share it with me.

Honestly, I would seek out lessons, maybe group to keep the cost more reasonable. I did it that way and it helped; I'd like to go back for more.

What exactly is high for you? For me two types of shots that produce "bad" high shots are either i hit it way too high on the clubface with driver or woods - or it starts balooning (low launch, spinning up into the air).

So those things have entirely different reasons.

I have this problem sometimes as well. I don't hit it really high, but it goes higher than normal for a driver trajectory. just last round i got about a 200 yd. carry and actually some backspin. the ball bounced back from it's pitchmark in the fairway.

other times I drill it 250 with roll. I don't know what the deal is.

Put the balls to ball lengths ahead of the middle of your stance. Choke up on the club. Pick a spot on the ball to hit and focus on it.

You can try losing the tee. I was doing that for a while myself and then I just decided to give up tee's all together (except my driver of course). My handicap dropped at least 5 strokes by doing that. It helps a lot because you get used to hitting the ball off the ground with the irons, so it increases your ability to hit greens from the fairway. You don't have the transition from tee to ground. I suggest you try it for a while and see if it helps your ball flight. Hope this helps!

Also look at where the ball is being placed in your stance, try teeing it up further back, maybe a ball or two before where you normally place it. Also are you staying on your back foot when you do you're swing? Also check you're front shoulder height when you're at impact, is it higher than when you're at address? Also check you're spine angle when you're at impact, it could be leaning back much further than it's supposed to. Any one of those could contribute to your high shot. Check out one at time, if one works great, if not, it's okay it will be figured out.
