if your a beginner def go with anything cavity back due to the extra forgiveness.....anything thats a blade or forged you might want to hold off on due to the fact that the sweet spot is smaller and a decently repeatable swing is needed to hit a crisp shot every time

Are you really a 36 handicap or have you just not changed it from the default yet? If you are, then you probably don't want to be looking at any of those clubs. Otherwise just go out and try them all out and buy the ones you hit best.

You are going to have to give a lot of information for people to help you out. Your playing abilities. What you want from the irons as in playability, forgiveness, and such. If you prefer forged over cast or don't really care. Is budget not an issue? So pretty much you need to help us to help you.

Most likely going to get a lot of opinions on what people like and you won't get a definite answer until you hit them.

Have you hit any of these yet? That would be my recommendation. Go hit them all and see which feel the best for you. Being a 3 handicap, you should be able to play any of these clubs well, it'll be mainly which feel right for you. No one else can tell you that.

Well the fact that you are a 3 handicap and are posting about what irons to buy is concerning. I'm with everyone else go hit all of them and go with the ones you like the best.

Yeah it's strange you're a 3 handicap and you're asking such question
Just out of curiosity, what irons do you game right now?

Well i was never a fan of Nike as a golf company, Callaway irons always seem too bulky. I prefer a nice thin top line. I've hit the TMade TP's and they are a solid club and i'm a bit biased towards the CG7 tours. So not trying to sound too bad here...I know you wont be disappointed with the Clevelands, also the deal we have going on is buy a set of irons and when we come out with our next set you get those for free. Just trade in the old. So its basically 2 sets of irons for 1. Really a great deal that is really hard to pass up.

    • I don't know… The TaylorMade Tiger Woods grinds were decent. I like narrow soles with a lot of bounce (lots of camber) and good heel/toe relief.
    • Day 33 (3 Jun 24) - In between working on my bass guitar and its wiring issues, I was able to take the putter and roll some putts on the carpet in the shop.  Spent time with the lead arm as I usually putt with it tucked close  and then doing the lead arm chicken wing.  Interesting how the feel and pace is different.  Had seen a fellow golfer using it last week when we were playing.  Overall it was good to do an easy day of putting for pace and overall distance control from 10' in.
    • Gotcha. Good to know. I'll have to test them.Any other specific models/grinds from major OEMs (not Edel) that you like and/or have a good blend of narrow sole but enough bounce? I said Non Edel just so I'd be able to test in person/have a variety of buying options
    • Day 578, June 3, 2024 Practiced while two students went to lunch. 🙂
    • Day 81  some technique work a little earlier, looking at grip and weight shift. Later on did some short game practice within 100 yards on the skytrak. It froze during a wedge matrix which was not ideal so i switched to target practice. Need to do this more often to get better at these partial wedges but should also probably do a short game lesson as my launch was quite high. Maybe it will help my full swing too
