How many pars per round?

Ok, well we've had the birdie and eagle threads but I'm wondering about pars.

How many pars do you guys normally score in a round? I am suspecting high numbers, what with all the low handicaps here, but let's see....

As for me, my 20 hc only allows me 2-4 pars per round. I usually have one or two really bad holes (7) to skew my scores a bit. I feel that if i keep those off the card, the score would be much lower even with my low number of pars but whatever. it's golf.

Being that I'm just starting to get serious about making myself into a golfer, I usually get about 2 per round. If I could only putt...........

I par a lot of holes. I need to work on scoring the ball better. Par golf is good until you blow up on one hole and then you can't get it back.

About 8-10 when I'm playing well, may mix that in with a birdie - the key for me when I'm playing well is I don't make a lot of big numbers, when I'm doing good, I don't make double's, triples, others. I stay steady with bogeys and mix in about 4 pars per side.

today i played 9 holes and had 7 pars and 2 double bogey both on three putting and i missed four birdie attempts from 8 foot and under..... so ya i need to work on my putting. urggg makes me so mad i could have had one of the best 9 holes of my life

on average. I have 6 - 8. With a birdie or 2 mixed in there.
Recently...like my last 8 rounds... I've been scoring really well (for me at least)
I've had money rounds in the low 70's at least 3 times a week...and mid - high 70's the rest of the times. I had a blow up round of 11 over on Saturday..and I say blow up b/c I was 3 over thru 14 and then lost it the last 4 holes....

But during the low 70's rounds... they've been majority par on the holes.
today I shot a 73...and had 2 bog's 1 double and 1 bird..the rest were pars...
and I've realized..for the most part...when I don't get a GIR.... my entire mentality has changed... it's gone from...
get on and 2 putt... to get on and have a tap in left...

i'm not voting because i'm so inconsistent
at the course i usually play on - 3 fridays ago was no pars and i shot a 106
2 fridays ago was 1 par but no snowmen!! - shot a 101
last friday was 4 pars but 4 snowmen - shot a 101

my putting was very good for me last week - hit a majority of 6-8 footers and was able to two putt the long ones -- i'm hoping to break 100 for the first time this friday

Seems like we could have some fun rounds. Finally got my driver under on a control/distance ratio I can live with and I'm able to fire at the pin. I'm pretty sure most of it is luck...... but I tend to get near the flag. It seems to me the only putts outside 5 feet that I ever make are to SAVE a two-putt. I tend to turn my bunches of GIR into nail-biting par saves.....

I average about 1 par every 3 holes. I'm streaky within the round so the pars and birdies come in consecutive holes. Had a stretch where I was 1 over in 12 holes after starting 5 over but only to finish poorly.

I just started this summer and i think im improving each time i go :) i get like 3 on average..

If we are talking long term average, than your handicap can give you a good idea. All statistics revert back to the mean in the long term...

ill usually get 2-3 a round though i usuallly just play 9, usually get 1-2 then.

2-4 for me. Throw in a couple birdie chances in there too.

I probably drop in around 9-11 pars a round. The rest birdie bogey or other.

2-4, probably closer to 4. But I always have a "choke hole" where I will double par or something.

I make around 6. I don't make a lot of doubles, triples, etc., but I don't make many birdies.
