Need advice on Golf Bag

What type of "cheaper" ($100 or less) golf bag would you buy? I like the bags with individual slots for each club but it seems all those are $140+. The bags with the large compartments where I presume several clubs go in per each slot, how would you stop the clubs from getting all banged up from bag chatter?

I'd like a decent bag, maybe even one that matches the brand of my clubs (Cleveland or Callaway), but am willing to do any brand as long as the bag is decent and has the individual slots as described. Also, where is the best place to buy?

I currently have a extreme sport bag and I could not be happier with it. Very high quality construction and looks amazing imo.

Dick's sporting goods has a Walter Hagen bag. My dad plays 3+ times a week and the bag has held up all season just fine. The best part is its under $60, has 14 club slots (although I don't think they are full length)

I have a camo Cleveland cart bag near mint, 5 rounds used, I'd sell if anyones interested. Large pockets, 14 slots, but no seprate putter tube.

I just picked up the Ogio Syncro this morning.

I also considered the Nike Slingshot II . I ultimately went with the Ogio because of the storage.

When I was looking for a new bag recently, I looked seriously at the first one. I can't remember why I decided against it, but I ended up with a Callaway X-Series bag.

I think the 14 dividers makes the bag larger. and if you carry a golf bag don't you want something small?

You can find a lot of cart bags with the 14 full length dividers; however, it results in a heavier weight because of more material, etc., which is not what you want in a stand bag, since stand bags are usually what people that walk carry.

I'm sure the bag manufacturers want to make something so that everyone can find something they like and some people may not like the 14 dividers, so it can just be a personal preference issue.

+1 Nike Extreme Sport II bag is brilliant, I have one in yellow/black.

Also Ogio Ozone is a great bag for storage. Both are stand bags (my preference for bags).

Lighter, smaller.

I have thouroughly enjoyed my bag.....but.....I went to a lager diameter grip an may even go up another size. This makes it tough sometimes as clubs get stuck and don't go in and out with ease. I really see the benefit of 14 full length slots. I saw a Bridgestone cart bag the other day that was awesome. I like the revolver series from BagBoy, too.

OP:

You did not mention if you need a cart or stand bag. Sometimes you can find a good deal on a bag at Dicks's or Sports Authority. The Ogio Section bag has 6 full dividers and is under $80.
