I have a two day tournament coming up.
I seem to have lost my swing pace and find myself rushing the swing and scattering shots all over the place. Pushing driver, pulling short irons...
Most likely I am not turning, instead just lifting up...
Does anyone have a 'swing thought' they would care to share to help with a rushed swing ???
Most swing thoughts do not work more than a few days...
so my timing seems perfect !
Currently I use a 'keep elbow close" tip...

"rawson" on the way back

"and" triggers the hips to start moving (before the shoulders etc)

"gulbis" gets the club moving on the downswing - impact at approximately, "gul"

Put it together and what have you got?

"rawson . . and gulbis"

Beautiful in so many ways.

to help get tempo back, go to the range and hit every club in the bag to the 100 yrd marker. There is no way you are going to hit a 5 iron there and be fast... not gonna happen. After that, take a few full shots using that same fluid motion. It helps.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee
