I was poking around in my mom's garage today and came across an Odyssey White Hot putter. Brand new. As in unused. Retail: about $170.

I was like, "Um, Mom? What's with the putter in the garage?"

She says she won the putter awhile back...from a closest-to-the-pin contest. And since she already has an Odyssey putter, she just kind of forgot about it. I'd found it with her old clubs.

She just shrugged and said I could have it, no big deal.

Uh, that's a really big deal.

Bye-bye, 16 year-old Echelon putter.

I have a lot of clubs in my garage that nobody uses. Go to them occassionally.

Such as a Two Bobby Jones 5 wood, a Cleveland Launcher 3 wood, a Ping Anser g5i putter, and a few wedges as well, lol.

Yeah, but I am not really looking to sell any of them. Like I said, on occassion I'll throw one of those clubs in my bag and exchange it out with something currently in my bag, haha.

Anyways, my dad golfs, but he doesn't believe that better equipment might better your game. Actually, he doesn't even believe that cleaning grooves could help create backspin. Thus, all I get to (do) is clean his clubs whenever we meet.

I was thinking about purchasing a 3 wood all summer. Played for the longest time without one and had convinced myself I really needed it. Was cleaning out the garage a couple of months ago and, *voila*, found my Callaway 3 wood. Had it reshafted years ago with a Rifle shaft and loved it, somehow had forgotten about it when I moved and it was in an old bag with a bunch of truly junky clubs.
