I don't think you where asked to rate the show or if you watched it.

Not entirely sure when the next season will start or the format, did read somewhere that Rudy Giuliani's kid will be on it so there will be men on the show and it's in disney world here in florida. Might be a similar format to Prince Edward island.

I didn't know it was gonna be at Disney. Thanks for the info.
I enjoy the show simply because it is golf (sort of). However, like all GC shows, it has way to many commercials.

The cast was announced about a week ago, with the absurd show title, "Big Break Disney Golf." Maybe we thought it was Big Break Disney Cricket.

Looks like plenty of bombers, including both Finau brothers, and several potential hot heads, per the recipe. The name that busted me up was Kevin Erdman, husband of Courtney (Ka'anapali). She couldn't read a green without him.

Quick turnaround, filmed in July, first airing in October. That's less than half the production time of Prince Edward Island. Apparent that Golf Channel has settled into an April/October slate for Big Break, two series per year.

http://golf.about.com/od/thebigbreak...eak_disney.htm

* Andrew Giuliani (New York, N.Y.) – Son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover, Andrew is looking to make a name for himself in the game of golf.

* Ed Moses (Hollywood, Calif.) – A gold and silver medal winner as a member of the United States swim team at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Moses' goal is now the PGA TOUR. A member at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla., he once shot 64 on the course that hosts the Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational.

* Andreas Huber (Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Actress Susan Lucci's son, the former Wall Street broker left the color of money to seek his fortune on the green.

* Gipper Finau (Lehl, Utah) – Joins Tony as the first brother duo to play in the same Big Break series. Blessed with the long ball, Gipper, who turned professional at 16, once drove a 520-yard par 5.

* Tony Finau (Lehl, Utah) – Hits the tee ball longer than his brother – or at least that is what he says in the spirit of sibling rivalry. Finau turned professional when he was 17 and made a cut on the PGA TOUR the same year.

* Mike Perez (Scottsdale, Ariz.) – After playing the Nationwide Tour, Perez is looking for the chance to join brother Pat on the PGA Tour.

* Vincent Johnson (Portland, Ore.) – Received the Charlie Sifford exemption to play in the 2009 Northern Trust Open where he flirted with making the cut in his first PGA Tour start.

* J.R. Reyes (Omaha, Neb.) – With tattoos covering each arm, Reyes is not your typical golfer. While not looking the part, he has the talent to fit in on the PGA Tour.

* Kevin Erdman (Arcadia, Calif.) – Husband of Big Break Kaanapali alum Courtney Erdman, is it his time to shine on the Big Break stage?

* Kevan Maxwell (Charleston, S.C.) – Aspiring golf professional by day, pizza delivery man by night, “K-Max” will do whatever it takes to play on the PGA Tour.

* Blake Moore (Monrovia, Calif.) – Friend of former Big Break competitor and PGA TOUR rookie James Nitties, Moore is a threat to win Big Break Disney Golf if he can control his inner demons.

* Sean Kalin (Delray Beach, Fla.) – A junior standout who gave up golf for 20 years after being kidnapped, he is looking for a second chance in the game.

Blake Moore for the win. I've played a few events with him, and he is legit. Serioulsy bomsb the ball. A few weeks back we played in the same group and he hit his hybrid off the tee and was right there with my driver. But, like the little blurb there says, so long as he can control himself, I see him getting far. I was paired with Blake in an event last summer and who was his caddy? Nitties.

I lived in Delray Beach for 3.5 years. Hmm. Maybe I'll root for that guy.

If I watch.

I have watched every season of BB. Glad to see another one is coming soon. It was a riot watching a few of the competitors. Don "double D" Donatello sure provided for some fun viewing.

I lol'd.....

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

I hope it is back on soon. I like the little competitions they do. It gives me ideas for stuff to work on in my yard.

Predictable based on rotation, but it was confirmed that the first Big Break of 2010 will be all female. Here's a link, auditioning at the current Albany stop of the Duramed Futures Tour. I suppose someone like Blingo Queen (Charlotte Campbell) could identify the players in these photos, in the audition area, but it's probably not proper, given the guarded aspect. The one name used in the link is Hannah Yun.

http://www.cybergolf.com/golf_news/a...s_tour_players

"A Golf Channel production team was on scene Thursday in Albany, N.Y., auditioning players on the Futures Tour for the next installment of The Big Break, the popular golf-reality series. The Golf Channel team, led by show producer Brendan Havens, set up shop next to the driving range at Capital Hills, the site of this week's I Love NY Championship.

Dozens of players from the tour filled out application forms, were videotaped as they made a few shots on the range, and then submitted to a lengthy on-camera interview to explain why they should be selected for the show.

The details of the next Big Break (number XIII) series are being kept a well-guarded secret by the production team. The players are not being told where the competition will be held, only that it will be sometime around the first of the year. All of the applicants were told that they should have a passport and to dress for a warm climate if they are selected."

I enjoyed Hwy 18 as well. From the impression I got however, I wondered how they kept those big Buicks from getting into wrecks and it seemed that one of the Ashley"s damned near died. A little wreckless would be my view of why there hasn't been another. IMO

    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn. • The first issue Erik spoke about is something we worked on for my swing during both GEARS sessions. GEARS was showing my pelvis center moving towards the ball during the back swing. I wasn’t the 4” guy though! This forced me to correct on the downswing to give myself space. My hip rotation was to high as well. We corrected it by first getting the weight off my heels in my stance and getting my posture correct. Then the feel was shifting back into my right hip at a 45 degree angle. This kept my pelvis center from moving towards the ball at the start of the backswing. I also didn’t sway back as much as I felt I did because of the angle I was shifting. Feel Ain’t Real. The cool thing about GEARS is as you work on something you can see the exact (Real) change happening. On video, it is much harder to spot this issue because of the 2D nature of filming. But I know what to look for now. Sadly, I was hurt all last year and most of this year so I really haven’t been able to work on it much. I did do a lot of backswing work though.
