"The golfer may use 14 clubs, but the gentleman sure only uses 7!"

So, a little game; simply answer these questions:

If you had to play with only 5 clubs, which ones would you choose?

If you had to play with only 7 clubs, which ones would you choose?

If you had to play with only 10 clubs, which ones would you choose?

Tell me! :)

If you had to play with only

Putter, SW, 8i, 5i, 3h.

If you had to play with only

Putter, SW, PW, 8i, 5i, 3h, driver.

If you had to play with only

Putter, SW, UW, PW, 9i, 7i, 5i, 3h, 3W, driver.

It's a tough question and it would vary depending on which course I play. I figured the course I play most often (~6600 yards). Decinding which 10 clubs to play was the most difficult for me, but would result in the easiest round (duh!).

looking at this question systemattically, I come up with this.
13 clubs and a putter is a golf bag

removing the driver that leaves 12 clubs, take every 3rd club.
3w, 4i, 7i, pw, putter

at 7 clubs, take every other club
driver, 3h, 5i, 7i, 9i, GW, putter

at 10 clubs, leave every third club from the bag
driver, 3w, 4i, 5i, 7i, 8i, pw, gw, sw putter

thinking in terms of what clubs give me the best chance to score however i came up with this list:

5 clubs
3h, 6 iron, 8 iron, GW, putter

7 clubs
3h, 4 iron, 6 iron, 8 iron, PW, SW, Putter

10 clubs

Driver, 3h, 4 iron, 6,7,8,9,pw,sw putter

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

I don't think that dripping to ten is too big a deal.....but lower than that.....ouch.

Some folks I see would be limited if they only played 14 clubs.
