New putter.....I think Golf Galaxy made a boo-boo!

I went to Golf Galaxy today to get my brother a birthday present (Callaway Diablo 10* draw driver) and myself a new glove and a few dozen HX Hots. Once I filled my cart with these, I decided to browse the putter selection because I have been contemplating trying a blade putter as the mallet 2-ball Odyssey I have been playing just doesn't feel right to me. I've been eying an Odyssey Black Series (non-i) #1 for a few weeks now. Nice sleek profile, no insert. Just what I wanted. Saw one on their rack (they don't advertise selling the non-i black series on their website) so I decided to play around a bit on their putting green with it. All I can say is I fell in love! Price tag read $250, I figured I might get lucky and it be marked down to $199 like it is everywhere else. Get to the counter and the woman ringing me up says to me "Your lucky day, its on clearance." I inquire how much and she tells me "$49.99." Needless to say, I almost pooped myself, kept my mouth shut, payed for everything, and RAN out the door.
Everywhere I've looked online this evening shows that putter for $199 at the cheapest, and Golf Galaxy still doesn't list it on their website as available at their stores. Did I miss a memo, or did I make out like a bandit?!

It happens time to time, the price gunner messes up and the sales clerk is stupid to know. Good one! Hope it helps your game!

Golf galaxy was having a 75 percent off clearance deal, so if it was 199.97 origonally then 50 bucks would make sense. I believe the signify clearance by ending with .97.

I stopped by today and ended up with assembled Maltby KE4 driver and Trouble Out 5w for $5 each. They were both demo clubs but not beat up. Also got a Lady Logic 9w head for $1 and a Srixon bucket hat for $0.39. Right now the sale was 90% off things that had prices ending in .93. If you wanted the Maltby Playability Factor bible you could get it for $0.24.

      Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.

      Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
