I dont get the point of a removable face could someone explain this to me

I would think the removeable face would be so you could put a new face on after 6 months or so of use because the face of a wedge wears after use and loses the ability to create a lot of spin.

I wonder what TM is going to charge for a replacement face... also wonder if they will include the tool with the wedge or if that will be extra too. TM... a leader in innovation, but sometimes I think the innovation gets in the way of what could have been a good club... guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure they'll include the tool with purchase. It would be like them selling all their MWT and FCT technology drivers without the wrench. Either way, I probably won't be buying these unless the reviews are like out of this world.

I think you can switch between square and the new rule grooves. Don't see the point in that though. Switching worn grooves make a little more since. But at what cost?

what WILL THEY think of next
wedge looks "chunky"
I like the sleek looks of the Vokey's or Callaways

Seems like a good idea in theory, the face of these things looks awful though. Plus I'm sure new wedge faces will cost almost as much as a new wedge from another manufacturer and the wedge will probably be more expensive as well.

I think this falls in the "give away the razor so you can sell the blades" marketing philosopy.

If Tm can get you to purchase their wedges (look for them to actually have some good deals) they can lock you into purchasing their face-plates for...years. Much like grips, they can create "customized" face-plates that fit different players. Or face-plates you can switch out depending on course conditions.
