Imaginary caddie?

Does anyone else play with an imaginary caddy in their head? I have been doing this lately and I find it really helps to have this objective voice in your head helping you through the round. It really helps me think through shots and slow down my decision making (this doesn’t delay my play though as I tend to figure out shots while other people hit). One real upside to the imaginary caddy is when I hit a bad shot instead of me getting mad at myself, my internal caddy encourages me. After all if your caddy called you a dumba$$ after a bad shot they would be out of work.

I am glad i left out the part about having conversations with the caddy in my head - I have never taken him him for a beer at the 19th hole though.

I used to do this, but then, after hitting a great approach shot one day, I turned to a friend I was playing with and said, "Stevie, would you please get me my putter?" He told me I wasn't as good as I evidently thought I was.
