Does anyone the story on this ball? How does it compare to other balls from Titleist. It is not shown on the Titleist website, so is this a new pro-line ball or a ball that will only be sold in big-bix stores (I understand it is being sold at Costco), but I saw it at GolfSmith also. Seems to be some confusion on this as there was a previous Titleist Tour Prestige ball years ago that was a wound ball construction with liquid center -- but this is a new product.

I think they are just Titleist professionals with a new name and are being discontinued. Good ball, probably a little shorter than the prov-1 and not as durable. I played them for awhile and liked the ball I just spin them too much.

nothing to look twice at...just a regular old ball with a premium ball makers name on it and a name brand premium. it's not even up there with the DT series. as far as a value ball, you're probably better off going with some top flight d2's...unless of course the titleist imprint makes you a better golfer.

in my bag:

Driver: '08 Cobra F Speed LD 10.5 w/UST Proforce V2 Tour Flight stiff

Fairway: Adams Speedline Fast10 3-wood w/Aldila Wasabi stiff
Hybrid: Nickent 3dx 3H
Irons: Nike CCI forged 4-pw Wedges: Nike Victory Red 52 56 60 Putter: Rife Mr. Beasley Balls: Bridgestone B330-RX Tees: epoch

they are an old style ball, the titliest tour prestige's were popular back in the mid-late 90's before the 3pieces came into effect. i believe payne stewart used it to win his US open. its a good ball, just an older model that titliest remanufactured then discontinued, that's why they are cheap right now. they really don't stack up to the 3piece balls but they are a good ball for the price now.

In my Diablo Edge Tour/ Titliest Stand Bag:
Driver: Nike VR Pro 8.5* w/ Myazaki 43g X
3 Wood: Nike VR Pro II 13.5* w/ Diamana Whiteboard 83g X
5 Wood: Cobra S9-1 Pro 18* w/ Diamana Whiteboard 83g X

Hybrid: Mizuno MP Fli-Hi 21* w/ Prolaunch Red X

There are two different "Tour Prestige" balls that have been made by Titleist; one back 15-20 years ago that was similar in construction to the Tour Balata and Professional balls, and one that is now made by Titleist that is similar to the NXT series of balls. Again, this is NOT the wound, liquid-filled ball from a few decades ago.
