Not fair to compare two sets without having same loft, shat length, and shate type. I have very positive experience with Mizuno.

I recently switched from Callaway X-20s to Mizuno MX-25s. The X-20s are a few yards longer, but the lofts are stronger. I find that I'm more accurate and consistent with the MX-25s.
Driver: Callaway Diablo Edge 10*
Woods: Mizuno F-60 (15*, 18*); Hybrids: Callaway FT-iZ 21*, Callaway X 24*
Irons: Mizuno MX 25 (5I - GW)
Wedges: Mizuno MP T Chrome (56/10), MP T-10 Black Satin (60/8)
Putter: Odyssey White Hot Tour #9

Really depends on the age and loft the Mizuno's. My older MP-14s have a PW with 50*! I'd check the loft specs and compare. I could actually care less what number is on the bottom of my 150 yd club, as long as it lands tight!

I did not experience any loss when I switched to the MP32s. I did when I switched from them to the Wishon's in my sig. However, that had to do more with the shafts (flighted vs non) and length (+1 to +1/2).

Which shafts do you have in your irons? What flex?

I've had a big drop in distance since going from TM Tour Burners to my MP 52s. The lofts are 1 or 2 degrees different, the TM's were stronger lofted, but the difference appears to be bigger than that, almost a club.

I'd bet that the shafts are longer on the tour burners to and taylormade's main focus is distance

Interestingly enough I was shorter with my MP-57s (tried them with 3 different shafts) than anything else I´ve ever played... I guess it is proof that there are no absolute truths in golf equipment, being the indian the driving force behind the specific results...

manufacturer ads want it to be all about distance, that's not everything, it's about performance, I've got mp-60s and they are fantastic

some sets have 44 or lower PW's, thats ridiculous, that leaves a massive gap to cover for your scoring clubs,

it's like giving someone a PW that had the same loft as a 7i and thinking it's the greatest iron set ever because they hit their PW

Exactly, irons are not about distance, they are about accuracy and nothing beats that feeling where you get just a little worried that you didn't even feel the ball as it pinged off the club facel, it was that sweet... :P

      I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.

      Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.

      Thanks man, sometimes it’s hard to improve bc when I’m not feeling comfortable I don’t like practicing bc I get frustrated. Any advice?
