Scotty Cameron California series putters

Im looking into getting a Scotty with my income return in Feb. I absolutely love the look of the Odyssey Black Series i #9 putter, but I tried out putters for over 2 hours yesterday and came to the conclusion that a milled face...ie the Scotty 2.5's they had in Edwin Watts felt the best. SO.....my dilemma is that I want a putter that looks like the Odyssey #9, but feels like a Scotty. Well I noticed on their website that Scotty Cameron is comming out with a new California Del Mar putter. My question is: They dont come out for another 2 weeks, and I would really prefer to not pay $499 for a putter. Anyone know what there going to be priced at, and where I might be able to try one?

I actually had the best round of my life this past Friday. Shot an 85 and I had 3 holes where I almost sunk my chip shot for birdies. Putting has improved a bit, but I have yet to break 31 putts in a round.

Info I have is that the Scotty Cameron California putters will be available
12-18, MSRP is $299

Thanks man! Thats not too bad. Only $30 more than the i Series. Plus, who knows....If it doesnt end up working out for me, its a Scotty and they hold their value pretty well.

I like the Del Mar style, too.

Try as I might, though, I can't entertain thoughts of using anything other than my trusty mid-slant right now.

California series should be selling for $299, maybe less if you shop around on eBay. Good luck...nice looking wands.

Yeah what really sold me on it was that it is a milled faced putter, and it looks like the black series i #9. I just love the way it addresses the ball. lots of confidence vs my current putter.

The Del Mar looks similar but not exactly like the #9. IMO, the #9 has softer lines. Odyssey will be coming out with a non insert, milled Black Series line which includes the #9 sometime soon.

I want the exact same specs you have in that #9. It feels really good, but I havent hit a Del Mar yet to compare it yet. This is one of those purchases where Im going to but some time and effort into.

I just bought a Black Series #1 w/ milled face for $199. They are on sale at several online locations.

It is a very nice putter that feels great.

Does Cleveland have a model like the #9?

I just got the chance to try those putters and the new irons coming out at a Golf Galaxy event. The putters look and putt very well and the new Irons are as close to Mizunos as anything I have ever hit.

We got $325 as the MSRP, though I'd have to agree with Dub, shelf price will probably be closer to $299.

Bought a California Monterey online from Edwin Watts... Arrived Thursday, really, really nice looking putter...

Yeah I figured, if I paid $299 for a putter I could at least get $250 for it if I didnt like it after a few rounds.
