I finally found the perfect driver!! Pics included...

I took advantage of the sale going on at Callaway Preowned and bought a FT-9 Tour 10.5 deg driver. Just got back from the range and I had to tell someone, this is the best driver I have ever hit. In recent months I have struggled with occasional hooks and hit the ball around 260-270 tops with a controlled 80% swing. I had no where near enough control when I let go on it. Just now at the range I am bombing balls out in the 280-300 range every time the FT-9 touched the ball. And best of all, NO hook. The one degree open face on the FT-9 Tour is worth its salt apparently. For slicers of the ball, the regular FT-9 is one degree closed. The club is not a loud trash can like my FTi Tour LCG (thank god). It is a muted, yet extremely solid, hitting driver which was a refreshing change. And the accuracy was beyond my skill level to be honest. I have never hit a drive this straight with a full swing (repeatedly). Things had got so bad in recent months I was teeing off with my 4+ wood about 1/3 of the time. No longer. I feel like I am throwing 300 yard darts:) Anyway, just had to tell someone. I got this driver in "like new" condition from Callaway Preowned over the weekend for $240 ($430 club at TGW). If anyone is not familiar, "like new" is brand new at Callaway Preowned. Awesome way to save some dough and this is my 5th time ordering from them. Pictures below of my "like new" driver.

OMG....not the Hammer!!!!

That is a sweet club you've got there and getting sweet results, too. Hope the honeymoon lasts forever. I also like the slight open faces on drivers. I don't do well at all with the closed faces or draw biased clubs. I'm waiting eagerly for a new driver that I ordered yesterday. 3-5 days for Titleist to make and then ship to me...maybe another 3-5 days. It's going to be a long wait.

Only the ones from reputable sellers.

Seriously..you just have to be careful. The only downside is not being able to examine the merchandise up close. Many sellers offer a 7 day return policy. So far I haven't been had.

No they dont.

They have the FT-9 (regular - NOT tour) at $199. They have the FT-9 TOUR (what the op bought) at $429. They have the FT-9 iMix at $299.

Thanks guys. Just got back from the range again, my third trip in 12 hours. Man, this thing smokes 'em. I hit a long ball, but not this long. Fantastic driver! Still a few on the Callaway Preowned site. Just click "like new" when you get to the FT-9 Tour page and you will see 4-5 left. They are running a deal now where you get 40% off any fairway wood with the purchase of a driver. A different deal every three days this month.
