Hi all,

I've been reading the reviews on here of the new Stack and Tilt book and also reading some other posts about it. I ordered the book last night and it should arrive at some point tomorrow. I'm going to read it even if I don't decide to adopt the swing, but I had a couple of questions for people who have tried it:

1, How long have you been using S&T; (or how long did you try it out for)

2, Have you stuck with S&T; or gone back to a more standard swing?

3, Any lower back issues while using S&T;?

Mid-way through this year. Though my old swing was very much a centered swing - I'm only really having to work on two parts: better hand path and more hip push forward.

2, Have you stuck with S&T; or gone back to a more standard swing?

I don't foresee ever going back.

3, Any lower back issues while using S&T;?

Nobody that's swung properly has developed back issues due to S&T.; No PGA Tour player that's an S&T; guy has missed an event with back issues. Not a one, and they have 20 or so guys on the Tour.

been utilizing S&T; for one month
I see myself staying with S&T---overall; it's a simpler method with less timing issues.
No back problems with S&T;

You will not have back issues because of this swing, if you swing properly. You will if you don't.

That can be true with any swing though.

Hi Nick

I have been using the S&T; model since July, 2008 and am convinced it is the way to approach golf swing mechanics. I am so convinced, I now teach it to my beginning students (I am a Canadian PGA Life Member). Read the book at least three times and on the third read, underline every important point (there are many) and by then you will understand the proper movements. The most important in my opinion is the "stand up, tilt to the left and turn" drill. Do this and you start to feel the spine extending which is important. Also as Mike and Andy suggest, short small "punch-like" swings are the easist way to develop your swing. Hope this helps.

One more note Nick...I am 64 years old and over the past two seasons I am hitting better quality shots closer 6to the hole and have had no back issues whatsover.

    • Nothing exposes low point control, and for that matter the general quality of ball striking like tight lies. Lol! I am at a crossroad. My days of playing with a super strong left hand grip are coming to an end it seems. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to maintain proper face control through impact as the club face naturally wants to turn over. The quality of strike and ball flight difference when I weaken the grip is stark. Problem is a weaker grip is at odds with my poor sore left forearm which I have been nursing for last few days after 3 days of demanding golf. As of now I will continue my 'transition' to a weaker grip with woods and hopefully my forearm will condition as I go along. Maybe someday I'll get to a normal address with irons too.
