That's crazy!

I don't see why people think he should pay more. When you pay for a membership you're paying for unlimited play. Just so happens he makes the most of it.

I wondor what his handicap is...

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

I actually would not want to play that much because it would mean no practice (as this guy indicates is true for him).

that's a goal I may never reach, but it sure would be fun trying. I can see myself playing 200 when I retire.

1/10th... 40 rounds... that's not nearly enough golf in a year, but it is likely what I will be reduced to now that I am a parent and have to work all week.

Darn man that is alot of golf. I thought i played alot. I played anywhere between 100-150 rounds this year and that was alot for me. If i could get out there more i would but have a 1 year old baby and a demanding job. When i retire im gunning for his number lol.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

We have a guy at our club who has probably played a little bit less than 400 rounds. He plays almost every single day. He's single, he seems to have a job that does not require his presence all the time, and he does nothing but wake up, go to the course, finish and go home. Literally speaking.
He's a 7 handicapper.
My achievements:
Eagles: 0
Birdies: 18
Best Round: 89

I wondor what his handicap is...

The article says he's a 7.2 (which is high for him because he hurt his shoulder hauling wood). Interestingly, he says playing a lot of golf isn't necessarily conducive to getting better, because he doesn't practice much.

Not sure what handicap has to do with it, but I played 242 rounds (mixed between 9 & 18 holes) this year at my home course. Our course is open each year from Good Friday to Election Day. I play every evening if I'm home from work in time and normally play 18 every Saturday & Sunday morning with my regular group and return in the evening to play another 18 both days with the wife. I know many others at my home course that never miss a day playing during the season outside of days the course is unplayable. As for paying more, I say no way. I know my membership is for unlimited play and I walk 99% of the time and leave the course each time in better shape than I found it by picking up after others, repairing pitch marks/divits and so on.

I could play golf everyday, the only fear that I would be afraid of is to become complacent with my game. Its one thing to improve your game, but it's another just to play without practicing and achieving a goal to get better. Its very rewarding and exciting to practice a part of your game and see it come together on the course and on your score card.

I love to play golf and wish I could play even more, but not sure I could play every day. Honestly, I kind of enjoy living in the midwest were there is an off season. I hate to see the season end but taking a couple of months off really gets me excited about the new year and setting new goals and trying to achieve new personal best. I'm like a kid in a candy store when the weather gets nice and I can play again in the Spring, it's like my first time to get to play, I couldn't be more excited.

Yet more evidence that Golf is the most addictive sport/game in the world.
A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

Sounds like a serious mental problem to me. Can't stop playing golf, can't stay married. I wonder what he'll do to compensate in Iraq? Good Luck to him.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.
