Buying Japanese typically means you're paying for quality. Buying Chinese means you're paying less. Buying American (nowadays anyway) means you're paying Japanese prices for Chinese quality.

And I heard that Ping makes almost none of their clubs in America anymore. I heard that 5-10 years ago, almost all of them were still made in Phoenix, but that has pretty much completely reversed, where almost all of them are made abroad now.

What's in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag:

Driver - Taylormade Superfast 2.0 TP 10.5
3 Wood - Taylormade Burner 15* REAX
Hybrid - Adams Idea Pro 18* GD YSQ-HL

Irons - Callaway X-18 4-PW

GW - Cleveland 588 51*

SW - Cleveland CG 12 56*

LW - Cleveland CG15 60*

Putter - Cameron Studio Style Newport 2

Bushnell Medalist rangefinder

PING manufactures and assembles every irons, wedges, and putters in their Phoenix facility. The drivers, woods, and hybrids are made in China, I believe, due to US restricions on alloys and metals in the country. Something like that. However they are assembled in their Phoenix facility as well.

Ah, nope. Ping finally stopped making their clubs in the U.S.

But you can still buy clubs made in the U.S. Integra makes clubs right here. It says "Forged in the USA" right on the clubhead. http://www.integra••••••••••••••/Inte...ad41_p_66.html http://www.golfreview.com/cat/irons/...9_2940crx.aspx I have one of these, and it's the sweetest iron ever made IMO.

I'm really disappointed that my new irons, AP1. Are made in china, and the shaft is made in japan. It would been be nice to see the sticker say made in USA.

I am surprised that this seems to be a shock to you. The US doesn't make anything anymore. I can't blame the US companies for manufacturing elsewhere. It boils down to the roll up of costs associated with paying an employees with benefits such as health care, retirement, pensions, etc. Roll all those costs up and it ends up costing you $200 per hr to pay a guy to turn a bolt on the assembly line. You'll start to see US companies manufacturing clubs here when the US assembly worker decides he is willing to work for much less pay, no benefits, no pension, etc.............

    • Day 9 - 1/8/25 Backswing drills and putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 29: 1/8/2025 Worked on my priority piece in the mirror several times today. I've gone back to having a 7 iron and a mirror right outside my office. Every time I enter or leave I can get a couple of minutes of work on the swing.
    • Day 100 - 2025-01-08 Hit balls for twenty minutes before I put Natalie through an Operation 36 at 200 yards without benefit of a driver. And putting on a sim is always a bit wonky.
    • Day 7 - Green-side work for 45 minutes. Start line with string putting. Speed control on 3-4' putts with phantom hole. Sh%tty lie chip practice.
    • I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.
