Re-read my post. In the Bible it says that man was created in the image of God.. so I'm assuming God would somewhat resemble a human, or a man.

You say the Bible says that "man was created in the image of God"; that does NOT mean man looks like God. That statement can mean that man was made to emotionally resemble God (campassion, acceptance, and all other good traits). It can mean that man was made to look like the image God had in his head of what would be proper. It can mean many, many, many other things.

Also, it doesn't say that God snapped his fingers and we immediately look like what we do right now. Even if it does say it took 7 days to create all, are we talking Earth days? Moon days? Jupitar days? Planet N3245XC in a galazy far, far away days? Heaven days?

This thread's still going?

How about we talk about golf, guys, c'mon.

These things can't ever end well. Someone gets mad at someone eventually.

I'm closing the thread. I'll re-open it if someone can make a REALLY good argument via PM, but the standard's pretty high because, again, these threads never end well, and I think it's better to end prematurely than to keep going until we hit that point.

    • Day 5:  Oops, I missed practice on Mother's Day. But today I got a pile of mirror work done. Tomorrow will be a range day and then City League on Wednesday.
    • I had another interesting ruling last week, in a pro "junior/senior fourball" event.  Near one of the greens was a drain, with the actual grate set maybe 3 or 4 inches below the ground surface.  It wasn't in a depressed area, basically just a straight-sided hole, with the surrounding ground pretty level.  A Player's ball was in some longer grass adjacent to the grate, maybe even overhanging a bit, to the "side" of the drain, so the path of his swing was "tangent" to the circular grate.  The ball was at ground level, so 3 or 4 inches above the metal grate itself.   As I saw it, there was no way at all that the actual Obstruction would impact any reasonable swing path, so I denied relief.  I did talk it over with another official, who said he would probably have allowed the relief, but agreed that it was a borderline call.
    • Here is where we're at so far.  (3) more spots left for Saturday, and (2) Sunday.  Again, if there are more folks interested in both days, we'll give preference to them.
