I am going to be buying new clubs soon and was just wondering if I could get some feed back on the AP1's. I am a 15 currently and have heard that these are tweeners!?! Just not sure what that means. I don't want to make another club mistake and not have fun this year.
Thanks in advance

The AP1's will suit your game just fine with an ~~15 HC. They are quite forgiving and feel pretty good.

There's more forgiving clubs out there, it all depends on what you want and what company you want to play,(if your brand biased).

PM me if ya want as I went through the same dillema not long ago. Ended up with Ping G10's after it was all said and done.

Had the same concern as you last summer. I think you'll be just fine with the AP1s, though. I bought the AP1s last July and at that time I was probably around a 20 HC. Worked really hard on my game since and, due to the hard work and help from the AP1s, have dropped to a 13-14 HC. Even when I first started playing them, I never felt like, or found, that they were too much club for me to handle.

What I Play:

Driver: R9 460
4 Wood: G15

Hy: Callaway FT 3Hy

Irons: AP1 4-PW

Wedges: Vokey 52* & 60*, Mizuno MP-T 10 58*

Putter: Newport Studio Select 2.7

Ball: Nike One Vapor

If your buying them, I have you considered an AP1/AP2 combo set....? I ordered the set in my sig, I'm a 9 HDCP but still liked the AP1 in the long irons. The 710 AP1's are much better than the first model.

Where did you get the combo set? I didn't know you could do that without buying them all separate.

My good bud is the Head Pro at a local CC they sell only Acushnet products and he is sponsored by them so he can order anything.

when i spoke to my local he said that more and more people today are 1/2 sets. With everybody using hybrids and wedge sets they don't need the 3 4 5. in my case i actually use a 46 cg 14 in place of my pw.

I don't think I would go any lower than a 5. I don't use my 4 iron often, Ive toyed withe the idea of replacing it with a hybrid.... but I liked the way the 710 AP1's hit.
