This dude is no joke!(so far) Five starts with three top 10s, over $500K in earnings. Lining up another top 10 at Pebble too. Where did this guy come from? I see on the pgatour.com profile that he had a pretty decent year on the Nationwide Tour last year. 24 starts, 16 cuts made with one win and eight top 10s. Pretty solid, but he's shinning like crazy on the PGA Tour. Must like the west coast...

Prugh is certainly off to a great start this year. My Fantasy team has certainly enjoyed having him playing so well.

Yeah, I've been watching him too. Really impressive to make it to the show and perform so well.

I've noticed him as well and had to wonder why has the Golf media been pushing Rickie Fowler so hard and barely saying anything about Alex Prugh? Not taking anything away from Fowler, who I anticipate will have a great year, but wonder why Prugh gets so little hype? If he keeps playing like this it will be a non-question.

I watched him win in New Zealand last year on the Nationwide Tour, and it looked like he was solid. I didn't know he was this solid, though. Great start.

Prugh has flown under the radar, getting better each year on the Nationwide and now the PGA tours. He was one of the first golfers to put the University of Washington golf program on the map (Go Huskies!).

I expected Prugh to have a decent season but I have to admit, I didn't think his results would be so consistently impressive...

He was one of the first golfers to put the University of Washington golf program on the map (Go Huskies!).

There were others before him --- Brock MacKenzie was certainly the most heralded UW player that came along in quite some time, but he has had a rough go getting over the hump professionally. And who can foret James Lepp final round to win the NCAA individual title a few years back.

Prugh is no surprise to us from the area -- he qualified for the US Open (at Oakmont I believe) while still in school (or the summer after completing). He is a confident, talented kid...that is for sure.

I think he's decided he wants to give Derek Lamely a run for his money in the rookie of the year race.
