So...I'm torn. Maybe you guys can help me decide.

I am planning to send in my Scotty Cameron Studio Select 2.7 in to the Custom Shop for a lie adjustment, clover stamp on the face, last name stamp on back bumper, and one of their $25 head covers. So....it will all cost me about $90.

Or...should I spend the extra $80 (total of $170ish) and get the custom color grip, matching custom head cover and matching custom color paint fill?

The custom paint matching dots/headcover/grip sounds good. But...these things already a match with the stock red color. Is it over kill to customize it with matching paint/headcover/grip? (I can understand doing this when you are refinishing a putter, or are ordering it custom brand new) Or....does it make sense just to do it, since I'm already sending it in?

I can't decide.

These are my thoughts.....Your sending it in to get ur name stamped into it so i'm guessing your gonna keep it for a very long time. Why not spend the extra cash and get it exactly how u want it. No point in half a$$ing it! Go for it and get everything done!

IMHO, if you are going through the trouble and time of sending it in, you should get everything done that comes to your mind, provided you can afford it.

I've always admired the name stamp capabilities. It not only personalizes your putter in a unique way, but it makes you feel like one of the scotty players on tour. But, I agree with the previous guys with the fact that if you send it in you might as well get everything done at once.

You might as well get the full monty if youre going to send the thing in.

I've been looking at sending my Scotty in as well for refinishing and have come to the realization that it makes a lot more sense to get it refinished than just a lie adjustment and headcover and here is my reason why.

When you get your putter refinished, they will get a new shaft (if you choose), shaftband, grip, and even a headcover (depending on which one you want). That will cost you $145 and includes up to 3 colors. The only additional cost you would have would be $30 for your last name stamp.

If your putter is in good condiiton and doesn't need refinishing, then I would recommend taking it in to a local golf shop for a lie adjustment and you can order the headcover from Scotty and save yourself money and time (takes a minimum of 30 days if I remember correctly when you send it in to Scotty for custom work...refinish takes at least 60 days).

Definitely do everything if the $$ aren't a problem. I just sent mine to McGolf to have the factory translucent red changed to a translucent orange and I love it. Slapped an orange Iomic midsized grip to top everything off...
