Finally went out to the course for the first time today. I was able to unleash my new 09 TM burner 10.5 S and I couldnt ask for anything better. My drives today were dead on with an average of 250-280 yards square down the pipe. A few turned out bad but not bad enough to find my ball. One big problem that really got to me today was hitting alot of my shots fat. I probably got on the green under par maybe 3 times today which is sad.

The one thing I did notice is during my downswing is my weight transferred to my right which caused alot of my shots to be fat. Does this sound right or am I just finding excuses to blame my clubs. LOL.

This is unclear. Are you saying that you are right-handed and ended up with your weight staying on your back foot, like a reverse pivot? If so, it's hard to believe you could hit 280 yard drives with that swing. And if you only hit 3 greens after driving like you say, it sounds like more than just your short game needs work. A little more info would be helpful.

If you aren't transferring your weight properly I'd imagine you are trying to compensate by bending your knees, thus causing lower impact and fatter shots.

No lie my driving wasnt that much on an issue.

Im a righty and yes my weight is mostly on the back during the backswing. My fats shots were very common because of it.

Im starting to learn how to keep my lower body as quite as possible because I use to straighten out my right knee so much that on my backswing, my upper body would lean back and cause my to skull my ball. Also, my head would drop down alot too that I would be out of balance

OK. I would suggest that you try to make sure your weight stays to the inside of your back foot during your backswing. Never let your weight transfer to the outside of your back foot. That should help you stay "centered". Also, check out your ball position. You could be playing it too far forward for your irons. Good Luck.
