Has anyone regressed over time?

I started golfing about 4 years ago and played like a typical newbie. I topped, sliced, duffed, and thinned my way to scores well over 100 for almost a year before I broke 100. However, over the last 3 years I really improved. Last year, I was regularly shooting in low 90's or mid 80's with a season low of 82.

This year has been terrible. I made a swing change to S&T; and started off just like I ended last year playing great. But over the last couple months I have began playing terrible, mainly off the tee and fairway, topping and thinning almost all my shots. I might scramble my way to a few pars here and there on the front, but the front usually is in the mid 50's. On the back I might find my groove and can shoot in the low 40's. I just can't put to good 9's together.

I just can't figure out whats happening. How is Has this happened to anyone else?

go back to the basics...focus on swing mechanics...I went backwards towards the beginning of last year (if that makes sense) and worked outta the funk just by slowing things down and working on the little things. I'm sure we've all been there man. Wish you luck...welcome to the quandry that is golf
