Wow, i had the worst day of golf today, and things havent been right for a few rounds. a lot of mishits, which have never been a problem for me. also my drives would slice sometimes which is also something i dont usually have a problem with. my contact was just bad.

and since ive changed some things in my swing over the winter i was looking for problems in my backswing, in my body turn, and just didnt feel like i could hit the ball how i wanted to.

then i noticed that i couldnt hit the same spot on the ground consistently and had the feeling that i pulled up before i hit the ball. eurika...

cant belive i missed it...so basic. make sure that your chest stays down on the ball into impact!

anybody else ever have this problem?

OMG...YES!! Just last weekend!! I too have been working on fixing my swing faults. My misses are usually pull and/or hook shots. With my new swing grooved in, I'm ready to go. So I thought! I sliced 5 drives into the OB and when I happened to hit the fairway, I seemed to slice my second shot. It was ugly! I don't hit slices!! Not to mention, like you, I was hitting fat, then thin. I couldn't make solid contact. I noticed a few times that I did try to stand up and that was not good. So frustrating!
