Went to golf galaxy yesterday to demo the titleist 909's. I ended up liking the D2 better but they didn't have any good shafts to demo for faster swing speeds.

With the 909 D2 9.5*/prolaunch red S my specs were: ss:117, launch angle:14.5*, ball spin:3100. I'm considering the OBAN Devotion, Diamana White, Javlnfx, and Rombax Z to bring down my ball spin.

Any thoughts on these shafts or others that shouldn't be overlooked? Thanks.

I too selected the D2 after about 3 weeks of hitting all sorts of drivers... Honestly after I selected the D2 i went through the process of shaft selection... I am no tour player and the 15 or so shafts that were in their fitting cart were more than enough to tell that the club was going to be great because of the head and how i felt at impact. I wanted performance and feel... some of the shafts transmitted too much or too little feel. I had 2-3 shafts to pick from based on performance, but easily the one with the best "feel intangibles" was the stock VOODOO shaft with the S-Core Technology. I had mixed feelings about this because it was a "stock shaft" and I wanted a custom fitted... then i realized that just because it was stock, didn't mean that it wasn't the correct set up for me! I have to give Titleist some credit if it was right for me, I'd bet that it's right for a lot of people. After using it for a good period of time, the weight ration of (head to shaft) is great creating really nice balance! I guess I am saying, use their fitting cart, and don't be close minded to being "fit off the shelf" I was!

you have a high launch angle like me, but a faster swing speed
I struggled at the start of last year to find a proper shaft for my 907 D2
I ended up getting the Graphite Designs AURA Red shaft (specs in my sig)
It helps produce a lower ball flight and has brought my launch angle down quite a bit

for you swing speed, I may suggest the Aura Gold, for higher swing speeds

http://www.gdintl.com/shafts/aura-gold

or check out some of the other GD lines
I really like their shafts and they wont break the bank

I think Tiger was seen testing the GD Tour AD DI recently

My swing speed is 115 with a launch angle of 10*. I'm having an Aldila NV-65-X put on my driver. Is this going to be stiff enough. I'm a little worried that it won't be.

Irons: MP 57 with Project X Rifle 6.0 shafts
Driver: Big Bertha 460 (9 degree loft) with UST ProForce 66g V2X Graphite Shaft
Wedges: Spin Milled Black Nickel 56.14, Spin Milled Black Nickel 60.07, Spin Milled Black Nickel 52.08 (next purchase)
Putter: White Hot XG #6
Ball: TP Red
