I wonder what they think of my 13.5 degree titleist 975F that I keep in my bag. What, 10+ years old?

In the Bag: TaylorMade R11 TP - TaylorMade R7 TP TS - Cleveland Halo - TM TP 2009 3-PW - Vokey SM 52 - Vokey SM 60 - Rife Barbados CS - ProV1x

Last year, I played golf twice with a retired, 70-year-old carpenter who swings stiff-shafted Ping Eye-2 irons. He scored in the upper 70s both times (for 18 holes). I wonder what he would have to say to the Digest experts?

Smells a lot like spam and trolls... Secondly, this product seems trivial given the fact that the user has no sensation or feedback of ball contact.

What the......there are better clubs out there??!>?!>@?!>@? Are you serious! When these new clubs actually make the average handicap lower, then I will buy into it.
Yes, most of every thing I got is outdated.

hmmm.... according to this all my clubs are obsolete, with the possible exception of my putter. My Titleist 975J driver, custom fit for me and my swing by Titleist is 8 years ago still works great, and my Callaway Big Bertha S2H2 3 wood must be almost 20 years old (I picked it up lightly used a few years ago) and I still cant find anything I like better enough to replace it with.

This isn't an article, it's a paid advertisement endorsed by their advertisers :(

Cheers, Allan

They had a piece (at least in the print article) about how your putter is never obsolete.

The article actually says the Eye-2s are good to go.

Such a lame article in general. I understand that some of the advances make the game easier, but you should play with whatever works for you.

Stopped reading right there.

Obviously I am not part of the "target market". My "new clubs" are 19 years old!

I looked at the pictures, but stopped reading after this sentence:

"For seven years we've produced the Golf Digest Hot List with one purpose: to increase your enjoyment of the game through equipment." I prefer other golf magazines now. The sad part is how many people they dupe with each new issue. There are many people brainwashed by ad campaigns touting "new technology". Now they even have the gall to tell golfers what equipment they can't purchase. We've all purchased equipment issues for automobiles and for other sports gear. Do you ever recall being told so often that previous versions (of anything) which were well made are now "obsolete". I want to write them a letter. Dear Golf Digest: do you know where people should be spending their mad money - their hard earned golf budgets? GREENS FEES and course memberships. Where are people supposed to hit these new clubs if the golf courses have to close their doors? Think about it.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.
