I'm intrigued to know who smokes on tour.

Jimenez is often seen on the course smoking a cigar, but who else on tour smokes on the course? You never see the pro's smoking anymore, which is a good thing.

Anyone got any inside knowledge?

a few golfers like Frank Licklighter, Angel Cabrera, John Daly, Nick Price, etc.

Only ones I could find so far

Driver: Callaway Big Bertha Diablo 9º
2 Hybrid: Callaway Big Bertha Heavenwood
Irons: Nike Slingshot OSS 6-3 iron
          Taylormade Tour Preferred PW-7 iron
Wedges: Cleveland CG14 50º, 54º
              Taylormade RAC 58º
Putter: Ping Darby 32" shaft

A few players on the regular PGA Tour have also been cigar smokers, but it seemed more of a fad of the mid- and late-'90s, petering out to some very private smokes by only a few players. Rocco Mediate can still be seen from time to time with a cigar on the practice range. Davis Love III maintains a collection. Brad Faxon was a smoker, but a new marriage was reason to quit.

The most visible smoker among the younger players is Darren Clarke

The regular cadre of players who smoke cigars on the Senior Tour includes Jacobs, Morgan, Thorpe, Green, Dana Quigley and Tom Wargo

There you go

He gave it up on the golf course after Oakmont.

In a few hours I shall be playing the club's annual Tombestone event.

My putting is rubbish at the moment so I doubt I shall win.

And so, in a few moments, I shall be smokin' a fag.

(And I just LOVE the transatlantic misunderstanding of that statement!)

definitely a UK person

Smoke them fags. Whats more hilarious is the US call stealing a cigarette 'Bumming'. So, if from the UK and incorporating US lingo and UK slang, if you dont have a smoke you ask: Can I bum a fag? Wrong in many ways.

My grandmother dated an Englishman back in the 70s, and he walked into a bar in Ft. Lauderdale (remember, Ft. Lauderdale is extremely gay), and I guess the guys at this bar didn't like gays. He says to the bartender, "Pardon me, where are the fags?" He got the crap beat out of him.

Love cigars, hate 'em on the course..btw the wind, the sun, fertilizer, crappy shots, sorry just can't do it. I'm in a dingy hotel in Paraguay at the moment enjoying a nice cuban...life sucks but sometimes we find enjoyment.

Nearly everyone used to smoke, that was when cigarettes actually had tobacco in them and tasted good. A cigarette is a very handy wind vane. I miss non-filtered Chesterfields and Pall Mall, back then a cough actually tasted good.
