This is what sales golf clubs..good costumer service...I had just purchased a new TM itsy bitsy Spider putter(YOU CAN SEE THE PICS ON THE "BAG" LINK BELOW) and on the first round (not usually having to deal with a putter cover) I accidentally left my putter cover on the cart. I didnt realize this until my arrival at the house and I was disappointed to say the least. So, first I called the course(no luck), then I called TaylorMade to ask how much a replacement cost. Well I guess after all those years and after all the registration codes of all my clubs, they had a file on me. So I asked him if he could check to see if he had one in stock and the cost. He came back and said he did and he would over-nite me one. I said whoa...how much first and I am not in that big of a hurry to pay for the kind of shipping. He told me not to be worried that they would pick up the tab for everything and wouldnt you know it...the next morning, it was on my door step.

That is why when I deal with a good company, I stick with them!!

Thanks TaylorMade!!

Has anyone one else had good customer service stories?

I have an Ogio Grom that I bought last season. There is a rubber strap that is on the back of the bag that acts as a saftey when you strap it to the golf cart. Well I got home and realized it came off. I called Ogio to see if I could buy one, the woman asked for my address and said she would send one free of charge and free delivery. I was very suprised, but within two days I got it.

If you like CS stories, check out Callaway. They are very well known for their CS. They will go out on a limb for their customers. If I could actually hit their clubs I would switch over.

That's awesome!

I opened this thread expecting to see someone complaining about the service of TaylorMade, but it's rare to see/hear about such great customer service. It'd be great just for an overnight delivery, but with free delivery and headcover too? Great stuff.

It is really nice to see a happy story on the trap about customer service... we seem to get alot of unhappy stories. The best customer service story I have was not with a golf company bit with a course, I cant remember for the life of me what the name of it was but it wasn't cheap... I went to visit some family in Virginia for March break a few years ago (before I took golf really seriously) and we decided we would go golfing on one of the days. On the day of our tee time it was snowing (lightly), but we're Canadian so that doesn't really stop us. When we showed up the girl in the shop gave us this bewildered look we just said "we're Canadian, its okay". They let us play 36 holes for free with carts(I am pretty sure green fees were in the 300$ range), lunch was free and my dad complained about losing some balls with the conditions so they gave us a box of Titleists (not ProVs but still). They even sent out the cart girl twice each round (she didn't like us very much). The took a picture of us in the snow at the first tee and put it in the owners office... They thought we were nuts.

rckwd,

Is there any reason (besides great CS) that literally everything you play, including your ball, is TM brand? I don't know of anyone that exclusively plays a single brand, even the pros.

I had a similar experience with Ping. I bought a Pal 4 putter well over a decade ago and didn't get a head cover with it (not sure if it was supposed to come with one or not). For some reason I decided I wanted one so I emailed Ping asking about purchasing one for my very old putter....they said no problem, one was in the mail to me free of charge. Few days later I had it. Awesome service!

rckwd,

Well I quess it all started back 15 or so years ago. I had this uncle that worked for TaylorMade (at the time) and we(the whole family) got all our equipment at cost. So I quess it started out of economics, but later turned to just "brand loyalty". Sorta like Chevy v Ford...you know? I have nothing against anyother brand...but by now I am so old and set in my ways.

In my time I have had some great clubs I wish I had kept; Big Bertha's, Ping Eye2's, my old Mizunos, My old Yonez..... Right now I am thinking of going over to the Cleveland camp for a try...you never can tell...LOL Thsnks for asking!! Tim

That explains it. They do make good stuff and if I could get their clubs at cost, I would probably be playing all TM stuff too.

Dealt with Them through e mail to get a putter cover. They asked for my address, then told me to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. The day after I received the e mail my cover arrived. Callaway, Taylormade, will always have a loyal customer. Anyone know how Ping is on CS?

I've had 3 very, very good experiences with TM customer service. This thread doesn't surprise me at all. I had an r5 that a sticker came off of (they gave me a brand new club), my r9 460 TP face caved in after about 6 months of use (sent me a brand new club) and I had a bag that a pocket tore after about 7 months of heavy use (sent me a brand new bag nicer than my original). So I buy TM any chance I get unless there's something else I just like a ton better (I'd have r7 irons if I could afford to drop $350-$400 right now, but I love my X-18s too). Customer service like that is way too good to ignore.

When I had my R9 irons, before they were stolen out of my car.......

One of the R9 badges fell off and I lost it, and they next day air'd me a new badge. Since they don't use good glue (common problem on the first R9's), at least they have good customer service.
