I have a Bushnell rangefinder 1500 with a case that straps around your waist. Just want to get your opinions on what you think when you see people with it on. It kind of looks like a fanny pack on your back. LOL! It is pretty convenient though.

Never even thought about carrying it around my waist. Don't like the idea having something semi-loose hanging around when I swing. I have it attached to my bag.

I've carried for one round now a Callaway micropro GPS unit. I carried it on my belt - behind me - because it belongs to a friend and I want it on me at all times. I didn't play particularly well that day, but I don't know if it's the unit or me. I have yet to figure out a good way to hold it - maybe on my push cart in some fashion, and always be certain to put it in my pocket if I walk away from my cart.

- Pick out of bag pocket
- Measure distance
- Put back in bag pocket

People can wear a pocket knife on their belt for all I care, but I don't like having stuff on my body when swinging. Only I got is a divot tool, some tees and a ball marker.

As long as it isn't too big and an obnoxious color I think it would look fine. I would assume the person was carrying something golf related, or possibly water. Now if you started pulling wheat thins out of it that might look a little strange.

It's not a fannypack. It goes around your golf bag.

DOH!!! hahahah LOL!!! Thanks for clearing that up Iacas. I hope I didn't look too funny with it around my waist. I might actually keep it around my waist though since I really didnt mind it being there while I was swinging. I seriously can't stop laughing right now.

Same here. Seriously, take it off your waist man, or dye it pink.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
