In most videos people post in here, the hips are not pushing enough forward, they are usually not overrotated at impact either.

I got the complete oposite problem. Before even the arms stop moving back, my hips start moving. By the time of impact, the hips are way ahead of the ball and rotated too much. Result = club head throwaway.

It is not a matter of rotating the hips more on the backswing or pushing them more forward either. I can straighten out the right knee all the way and still be able to get them way ahead and rotatet by impact. I can try slowing them down, but the results stay pretty much the same. My backswing is too long, I know that, but a shorter backswing doesn't help all that much either. I still fire the hips before the end of the backswing.

Posted this mostly to vent a bit, but if anyone got suggestions, I'm open.

Zeph, I'm not sure what club head throwaway is. Are you blocking the ball out to the right ?

I have a similar problem where my lower body starts moving during the transation from my backswing to my downswing. I've tried to add a pause at the top, but have not had too much success. I am past parallel at the top and actually see my driver head out of the corner of my eye at the top. My hips and shoulders are open at impact, resulting in the block shot to the right.

Where is your head throughout the swing ? What contributes to my blocked shot is that my head is kind of with the ball at impact instead of behind it. One thing that is helping me out right now is the video where Dave is throwing the rock/bolder. It's the same site as ball flight laws, but I'm blocked right now, so can't find the link. His demonstration of this helped me realize a way of keeping my head behind the ball. This is still work in progress for me, but towards the end of my last range session, I started belting my driver pretty well.

Zeph, Ill trad ya. Im still hittng them fat quite often. The only thing that seems to work for me somewhat is to put 75 to 80 percent of my weight on my front foot at address. Not sure if this is a legit fix tho.

Also, Im no expert, but have you tried swinging with your feet together. If you moved your hips too much while swinging this way, you would fall over.

I straighten my front leg to early - wanna trade? Stopps the hips a bit, but does not make the result better. Backswing too long? Sorry, same here.

Zeph, you are just to young and way too athletic. Relax a couple of years, let some rust settle here and there - maybe that cures eager hips and the flexible spine...

Oh, forgot, ever tried playing as a lefty? You could start from scratch and maybe find different challenges...

Sorry, am a little frustrated, too. Damn left leg...
