Hey guys, does anyone know of some good tips or drills I can work on to keep my left arm straight?? I just took some video of myself today for the first time and noticed I have a bend at the top of my swing, more so with the driver compared to iron. Now I know it's not mandatory for it to be perfectly straight the whole swing but I none the less would like to work on it. I do get it back to dead straight on impact. thanks in advance

STraight left arm isn't that important as you think. AS long as your not bending it a ton. If you are, i would think you might need more shoulder turn because your physically making up for lack of shoulder turn by breaking your left arm down to reach parallel. If you physically have issues with your turn, flexibility, try finding some stretches for the

Abdominals, Obliques, Lats, and pectorals

In the mean time, i would try to get it a bit straighter, the best mental tip i can get is that you want to feel like your pushing at the butt of the club with your left hand in the backswing. This extends the butt of the club, hinging your wrist, and helps keep that arm straight.

Is your club passed parallal on your backswing? It's all muscle memory and should not be too difficult to keep your left arm straight. Start will wedges and take a slow backswing and focus on keeping the backswing relatively straight, it will help shorten your backswing and should help your ball striking.

You can control that with what kind of backswing you take. If youre getting a crazy amount of arm bend then your probably going back further than you are able and overswinging.

No the club doesn't pass parallal but with the driver it does cross the line because the arm is bent too much, so I will be working on this next trip to the range..thanks guys
