That's one weird swing, I don't know how you make consistent contact with so much head movement and lifting. But you're a 6ish handicap, so keep at it!!

LOL more moves than kung fu

Tough to explain (easy to demonstrate) and I'm in a pinch so I'll try to mix the two.

I know I come well from the inside out, but I'm trying to lower the plane, so I expect that will happen for a while. The pro here told me to just do it for a while till I can get the plane flat enough.

So, do you like the Furyk/Trevino/Fowler swings?
Would that be considered a reverse pivot? Looks like you get you weight way forward at the top and have to raise up to stay behind the ball.

No, a reverse pivot entails going forward on the backswing, and backward on the downswing. I slide my hips forward, and my weight ends up on my left leg. In fact, I shift so much weight left, that I've damaged my left knee and have to have it repaired.

Here's a slightly older swing, but it shows the front view:

Shanks, for the love of Pete, please stop posting video of your swing. You could easily start a thread on "looping swings" without using your motion as an example.

Do a lot of PGA Tour players have loops in their swings? Yes. Do a lot of PGA Tour players with loops in their swings have consistency issues? Yes. Look at Tiger Woods - primo example #1. All the talent in the world and even he has no idea where his ball's going because Haney put a big loop in his swing.

"The expert golfer has maximum time to make minimal compensations. The poorer player has minimal time to make maximum compensations." - And no, I'm not Mac. Please do not PM me about it. I just think he is a crazy MFer and we could all use a little more crazy sometimes.

Looping swing imo make things more complicated - that might not a be a issue for guys like Furyk, Fowler & Co. (but as a previous poster mentioned, even they have unwanted inconsitencies), but unless you can go out and hit bucket after bucket to ingrain and keep that "weird" swing motion you will have problems progressing from whatever level - you will be busy enough to just keep your swing going.

On second thought (sent a PM to SAM), I've merged his "looping swings" thread into this one since the "looping" thread wasn't really about the principle or idea in general, but only really about SAM's swing.

So now it's back in the thread in which it belongs.
